Hi, I’m Joanne (Jo) McGowan and I help businesses that do a phenomenal job for their clients but who have little time to do all the other things that a successful business needs to grow and thrive. I help by identifying the jobs that don’t need to be done by them and help take them off their desk, freeing up their time to offer their clients the best service, develop their business further and give them more time to enjoy life outside of their business.
I’ve been that busy business owner having run in the past a dance and drama academy, a family entertainment and activity business and a small business hub. I was skilled in the core business but often worked ridiculously long hours trying to keep up with all the paperwork, marketing and updates a successful business needs. I didn’t even switch off on holiday, constantly checking emails, which was not fair on my family. I eventually started to outsource some tasks and it made such a difference to not only my work/life balance but in the clarity of where I wanted my businesses to go. I have also had the privilege of working for a small charity and seen how beneficial it was to outsource some key, skilled tasks to free up the staff within to get on with their jobs effectively.
